Zing Events Announces Official Charity Team Building Partnerships with The King’s Trust and Re-Cycle
From helping young people get to work in London to transforming lives in African communities, Zing Events is proving that corporate team building can make a difference far beyond the event itself.
At Zing Events, we’ve always believed that the best team building activities do more than bring people together. They create meaningful connections, inspire collaboration and, increasingly, deliver a positive impact on the wider world.
That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce The King’s Trust and Re-Cycle as official charitable partners of Zing Events, joining our existing charity partner, The Trussell Trust.
These partnerships represent an exciting milestone in our commitment to delivering impactful charity team building activities and corporate social responsibility (CSR) events, giving businesses the opportunity to strengthen their teams while supporting causes that genuinely change lives.
Starbucks Builds 30 Mountain Bikes for The King’s Trust
One of our latest CSR team building events saw global coffee giant Starbucks take on our Build a Bike Challenge, bringing colleagues together to assemble an incredible 30 brand-new, premium mountain bikes.
But this wasn’t simply about teamwork, problem-solving or a little friendly competition.
Every single bike was destined for a much greater purpose.
Working in partnership with The King’s Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust), all 30 mountain bikes were donated to a London branch of the charity, where they will benefit young adults taking their first steps into working life.

For many young people starting employment, access to reliable, affordable transport can be a significant challenge. Something as simple as owning a bicycle can make the difference between a difficult daily commute and having the freedom and independence to get to work.
These bikes offer much more than two wheels. They represent opportunity, independence, confidence and the ability to move forward in life.
For the Starbucks team, the event provided a shared sense of achievement, knowing that the bicycles they had built together would go on to make a genuine difference.
It’s exactly what charity team building should be about: creating an unforgettable experience for employees while delivering something meaningful to people who need it.
AstraZeneca Helps Change Lives in Africa Through Re-Cycle
Our partnership with Re-Cycle – Bikes to Africa is another fantastic example of corporate team building creating a lasting impact.
Working with leading organisations including AstraZeneca, Zing Events has delivered large-scale Build a Bike team building events in which employees collaborate to assemble brand-new, high-quality bicycles for donation.
Through our partnership with Re-Cycle, these bicycles are sent to communities across Africa, including Sierra Leone, where access to reliable transport can be truly life-changing.
In many rural communities, travelling to school, employment, healthcare facilities or local markets can involve long and exhausting journeys on foot.
A bicycle can help overcome those challenges, making essential journeys faster, easier and more accessible.
For individuals and families, the benefits can be transformative, opening up opportunities for education, employment and greater independence.
The impact stretches far beyond the people building the bikes, and that’s what makes this partnership so special.
Through our charity team building events, organisations such as AstraZeneca are helping create a lasting legacy, turning a few hours of teamwork into something that can benefit communities for years to come.
Three Incredible Charities. One Shared Commitment.
The addition of The King’s Trust and Re-Cycle as official charitable partners strengthens Zing Events’ ongoing commitment to supporting important causes through corporate events.
Alongside The Trussell Trust, which works to end the need for food banks in the UK, these partnerships allow us to support a range of charitable causes while offering businesses meaningful opportunities to give back.
Charlie Berry, Director of Zing Events, commented:
“We’re absolutely delighted to officially welcome The King’s Trust and Re-Cycle as charitable partners of Zing Events, alongside The Trussell Trust. These are three superb charities doing genuinely incredible work, and we’re immensely proud to support them.
Our relationships with these organisations reflect a long-standing commitment to making our charity team building events about more than just a great day out of the office. Seeing companies like Starbucks and AstraZeneca embrace these experiences, and knowing that the bikes their teams build will help young people get to work or support communities in Africa, is incredibly rewarding.
These latest partnerships cement our loyalty and commitment to the charities we work with. We want every business that chooses a Zing Events charity activity to know that their event can make a real, lasting difference. For us, that’s what team building with purpose is all about.”
CSR Team Building That Makes a Real Difference
Corporate social responsibility has become an increasingly important consideration for businesses planning their team building events.
Companies are looking for experiences that not only engage and motivate employees but also reflect their values and deliver positive outcomes beyond the workplace.
Our Build a Bike charity team building activity brings these objectives together.
Participants must communicate, collaborate, solve challenges and work towards a common goal, with the knowledge that their efforts will ultimately benefit someone else.
The result is a powerful combination of employee engagement, teamwork, shared achievement and charitable giving.
Whether it’s helping a young adult travel to their first job in London or supporting someone’s access to education or employment in Sierra Leone, every completed bicycle has a story and a purpose.
And for the teams involved, that’s an experience that stays with them long after the event finishes.
