How Does Team Survival Team Building Activity Work?

The activity starts with an introduction from our presenter. Depending on how you would like the event delivered they can take on the role of a survival expert or drill sergeant.
It’s then into the first energiser which is for the team to form a giant SOS out of all team members and then an aerial photo will be taken of the group. A great keepsake of the day.

The group is then split into teams of roughly 8 delegates. This will be your team and we encourage these to be formed of a variety of different personality types and physical abilities.Then it’s time to tackle the challenges. These will range from crossing a hypothetical river with limited equipment, communicating to half of your team using only signal flags and a decipher code or constructing a base camp. All activities will be completed in a head to head fashion meaning that throughout your event you will interact with all members of the group.

On each activity the teams will appoint a leader who will take charge and brief the rest of their team on the activity (these roles will swap between each activity). This encourages communication, leadership, teamwork and logical thinking under pressure. While teams take part in the activity our instructors will complete a points sheet ,these will score each teams leadership and teamwork based on a 10 point system. This gives great feedback at the end of the event as to how each team performed. At the end of the activity we collate all of the feedback and points before giving a debrief and announcing the winning team.

At Zing Events, we know that budgeting plays a big role in planning your team building activity. While we don’t provide a fixed price list due to the bespoke nature of our services, here’s a general guide to help you plan:

  • Entry-Level Activities (e.g., GPS Treasure Hunt): Starting at £1,100 for 10 participants, £1,750 for 50 participants, and scaling to approximately £5,000 for 250 participants.
  • Most Popular Activities (e.g., Escape Room, Sports Day, Animate Filming): Prices range from around £2,000 for 10 participants, £3,500 for 50 participants, and up to £10,000 for 250 participants.
  • Premium Experiences (e.g., Sphere Outdoor, Team Survival): Begin at around £2,200 for 10 participants, £4,000 for 50 participants, and with larger groups of 250 costing up to £13,000.

Important to note:

  • Prices exclude VAT.
  • Customisations, specific requirements, or travel beyond 100 miles may affect the final cost.

We prefer Credit Card to ensure payment is made in advance of the event. You can however pay by BACS if payment terms can be met.

We have a very large team of fully trained and charismatic Event Hosts – so only rarely are we sold out.

You do not need to provide any equipment whatsoever. Just a space for the event to take place.

We’ve run this activity for 500 people at once – there is no upper limit. We would recommend that your whole group is more than 8 people.

We recommend 6-8 people per team, however there is flexibility if required.

The booking can be at whatever time or date you like – the booking will be exclusive to your group. We regularly run events for global teams so our team can nearly always accommodate you.

Bookings are based on minimum chargeable numbers, but if numbers do increase we will provide an invoice for any extras.
