Inspired by the popular reality game show, this team building activity takes participants on an exhilarating ‘race’ across the globe. Teams will compete against each other by navigating GPS hotspots that represent famous cities and countries, completing location-based challenges along the way.
From solving brainteasers to tackling photo and video challenges, every task will immerse your team in the unique culture of the destination. We completed the GPS Treasure Hunt for a work event (45 employees) and everyone had so much fun. The event was well organised, from the initial call with Zing Events to the final organisation on the day from Dave, everyone did a fantastic job. The event was really competitive and it was an added bonus to view all the photos and videos of the other teams... very funny! Would highly recommend Zing Events.

Your journey around the world begins with an introduction from our expert event host, delivered via Video Conference or live at your chosen location. Teams of 6-8 will then use their smartphones or tablets to navigate through GPS hotspots, which represent different countries and cities on the app’s interactive map.
At each hotspot, teams will encounter ROADBLOCKS and DETOURS—interactive tasks that could be trivia questions, photo challenges, or video tasks. ROADBLOCKS require one team member to step up and complete the challenge, while DETOURS require the whole team to participate. These challenges aren’t just about trivia; they immerse your team in the local culture, like following directions in Portuguese to find a metro station in Lisbon or identifying fake artwork in a market in Burkina Faso.
As you complete tasks, teams will earn money in US Dollars instead of traditional points, adding a competitive twist. The GPS hotspots are revealed in a sequenced order, ensuring all teams unlock the same content, no matter the route they take. The live scoreboard will show which team is leading in both distance and earnings, keeping everyone on their toes.
The race concludes with a final debrief from the host, where the best photos and videos are shared, and the team that has travelled the furthest and earned the most money is crowned the ultimate winner. It’s a globe-trotting adventure full of teamwork, creativity, and friendly competition!

Your team can be guided by a live host who will be present on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly and provide that extra touch of excitement. Using your own smartphones.
Option 3: Live Host + Tablets
This option includes a live host and tablets for all participants, enhancing ease of use and creating a seamless operation.

This activity does not require a venue and can be run at venues, towns and cities across the world; and can be run in a number of ways as outlined above.
We will travel to any venue or location we are required to; please see what we require from you above.
There are several variables that dictate the cost of this activity, including the number of guests and the location; enquire with us now, and we’ll have a bespoke proposal and quote to you within a couple of hours.
We prefer Credit Card to ensure payment is made in advance of the event. You can however pay by BACS if payment terms can be met.
We have a very large team of fully trained and charismatic Event Hosts – so only rarely are we sold out.
You do not need to provide any equipment whatsoever. Just a space for the event to take place.
We’ve run this activity for 500 people at once – there is no upper limit. We would recommend that your whole group is more than 8 people.
We recommend 6-8 people per team, however there is flexibility if required.

The booking can be at whatever time or date you like – the booking will be exclusive to your group. We regularly run events for global teams so our team can nearly always accommodate you.
Bookings are based on minimum chargeable numbers, but if numbers do increase we will provide an invoice for any extras.
