Beat The Screen – Virtual Team Building Activity

Beat the screen has a totally unique format and was designed in mind to get people away from their desks and cut down on their screen time. We’re all guilty of it – and never more so since Covid. The activity includes a 30-minute screen-break in the middle to encourage guests to get away from their desks and complete video or photo challenges either indoors or preferably outdoors to boost wellbeing and enjoy some fresh air.

The format of Beat The Screen ultimately structured around 3 Rounds; the first round is based around cryptic tasks, the second round involves completing 6 fun video challenges (preferably outdoors) and the third round is a frenzied finish by answering as many trivia questions as you can before the Clock hits zero! This can be played in teams or individually, and equally done indoors or outdoors.

Itinerary overview

How Does Beat The Screen Virtual Team Building Activity Work?

Following the briefing from one of our charismatic Event Hosts, teams head into their virtual breakout room for Round 1 where they put their heads together to solve a variety of cerebral and cryptic tasks. The clock is ticking…

Round 2 is made up of hands-on and creative photo and video tasks, where each player heads outdoors* on their own for 30 minutes to complete 6 tasks. Each player will score points for their submission which will count towards their team’s final score, plus this is a great way to encourage a screen-break.

The 3rd and final round has players regrouping for a ‘Beat The Clock’ series of questions, where they must complete as many trivia questions as they can before the timer hits zero!

Our event facilitator will provide an entertaining wrap-up, presenting the best photos and videos from your event!

Virtual Team Building - What to Expect

What to Expect in the Virtual Team Building Activity?

  • Get Prepared: Each guest will need access to a laptop for the video call (Zoom Is preferred). You‘ll also need to download our free app to your mobile or tablet and access to Wi-Fi.
  • Welcome: Our live presenter will brief you as one large team on a video call. They will be on hand for the whole duration of the game.
  • Play: We’ll then split you into smaller teams (in breakout rooms) where you will complete the challenges on the app together, with your captain submitting your final answers.
  • Winners: At the end of the activity we bring the whole group back together to announce who the winners are plus show the videos and photos taken by all teams.

What We Provide for Your Virtual Team Building Event

  • Pre-event support and joining instructions you can share amongst your team
  • Access to the free app on IOS or Android and your own unique game code (provided by the Live Event Host at the start of the session).
  • We provide a Zoom video platform (it offers some unique functionalities),we can run it on your preferred platform. Simply provide us a meeting link, and assign host privileges
  • A live host who introduces the activity but is available for the duration. For every additional 50 ppl we provide an additional tech support
  • Any photos or videos taking during the event will be sent to you post event.

What we need from you

  • A Computer – for the video conferencing (Zoom preferred)
  • You and your team. We cater from 5 to 500+ guests
  • A smartphone or tablet that is Wi-Fi enabled to download our free App to.

FAQs

Whilst Zoom is our preferred platform, we can of course join whichever Platform you’d like us to. We have run it for Monster Energy on MS Teams and for Apple using WebEx for example. We would need Host Privileges assigned.

Each guest will simply require a webcam enabled computer and a smart device with our free App downloaded.

No equipment is required – simply a webcam enabled device and an additional smart device (for the App element).

The session is delivered in a professional manner and very quickly everyone is put at ease. We often get feedback saying this is the best virtual event people have ever done!

There are several variables that dictate the cost of this activity, such as the number of guests ; enquire with us now, and we’ll have a bespoke proposal and quote to you within a couple of hours.

We prefer Credit Card to ensure payment is made in advance of the event. You can however pay by BACS if payment terms can be met.

We have a very large team of fully trained and charismatic Event Hosts – so only rarely are we sold out.

We’ve run this activity for 500 people at once – there is no upper limit. We would recommend that your whole group is more than 8 people.

Bookings are based on minimum chargeable numbers, but if numbers do increase we will provide an invoice for any extras.
