Yesterday we provided you with the ultimate checklist for sourcing a venue for a corporate team building activity. Today we’re showing you some of our favourite websites to use when venue sourcing for indoor or outdoor team building activities.
DesignMyNight.com
Designmynight is a great site that allows you to filter your selection of pubs, bars, and restaurants by what kind of event you’re looking for (e.g. sitting and chatting), location and price. It also shows you useful information such as drinks deals the venue offers and public reviews. However, the site only includes bars and restaurants so if you’re looking for a large meeting room or hotel space you will need to look elsewhere.
Thisisfunky.com
This is funky has a huge selection of interesting venues, and a lot of easy filtering options including capacity, function, and type of venue make searching through them extremely quick and easy. It’s probably not the best site if you want to stay super low budget, but definitely one to add a bit of interest to any kind of event. There is venues suitable for everything from award ceremonies to team building activities to conferences.
Avoidhumans.com
Avoidhumans does exactly what it says on the tin – provides a variety of places to go which should be less busy than anywhere else in a particular area. Brilliant if you want to find somewhere secluded from the masses. It works using your GPS location though so not ideal if you’re planning a team-building event far from your place of work.
Hirespace.com
Brilliant for those that want to keep to a low budget or have unusual space requirements. Hire space lets you find all kinds of spaces from village halls and dance studios to great halls and council chambers. Unfortunately, they only cater to London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham at the moment.
